OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS...
Steve Shinn is a seasoned pastor of 40 years and well known as a “Family Man” who loves people. He and his wife, Wanda, reside in Walterboro, SC in a semi-state of retirement. His strong commitment to integrity, compassion, hard work and common sense makes his role at ATC valuable to us. Steve is strong on people taking personal responsibility for their actions and honoring God in every part of life.
Pastor Steve was actively involved in helping build the first buildings on our campus. He is an avid sportsman and loves being in the outdoors.
ATC has benefited tremendously having the friendship of Steve and Wanda for many years now and we are trusting for many more years.
Pastor Caudill has pastored around the southeastern part of the United States and knows people well. Drawing on his years of success he is quick to recognize potential or spot danger. Pastor Caudill is an open book to those around him and he will be the first to tell you, “what you see is what you get”. During his time as a local pastor he has become a true friend to this ministry and his influence has added value to our organization. He and his wife, Barbara, have a large family in Tennessee which they absolutely adore and love spending time with both here and in Tennessee. As they serve God in whatever capacity they are involved it is evident that they are valuable to us. We love the Caudill Family.
Pastor Neal is a native of Virginia who made his way to South Carolina as Senior Pastor in Manning, SC. He and Dianne successfully raised a family of God fearing children who are scattered across the southeast with their own families. After pastoring for years, they have moved to the Summerville area, but retirement just didn’t come easy. They immediately became involved in senior citizen ministry and continue to serve God in whatever capacity they can. They have been some of our most faithful cheerleaders, even catering some of our fundraising banquets in the early days of ATC. Sam had a career with AT&T and has used his experience installing some of our communication equipment on campus. He has been very supportive of everything happening here and we appreciate the love and support they have given us.
Steve and Laura Droze bring a special attribute to the Board because of their life experience with ATC. The story began over 20 years ago when Steve learned his wife Laura had become entangled with illicit drug use. Their marriage and entire future was up in the air and things had blown up really bad. That is when Laura got help at a ladies Teen Challenge facility in North Carolina and God put things back in place. Laura recently had her life story published and her book can be bought on Amazon https://a.co/d/a45VmOR . If you go under the "More" tab and click on "Resource Videos", you will find a Youtube link with a short version of Steve and Laura's testimony.
Part of their miracle is the fact that they now have grandchildren who have loving parents who all share God’s unselfish love and ability to restore broken lives. Steve has become very successful in the construction field while bringing to our Board a level of expertise we desperately need in our expansion. Couple his knowledge with his life experiences with Laura and we have a valuable member of the Board who leads our conversations with passion and determination. His desire is to see everyone who wants help to be able to get it with the same results their family has experienced. We are proud of what God has done for this couple.
Mr. Perry is a Vietnam Army Veteran who worked many years at Wellman’s Industry in a supervisory position in Johnsonville. He and his wife, Margie, live in Johnsonville, SC and are actively involved in church where he taught Sunday School for 30 years. His time is now divided between 5 grands, church and the golf course. Morris has given us a line to be remembered by that goes like this, “I can’t paint a wall or change a light bulb, but I know how to get someone to do it”. Every organization needs and grows with people like Morris. He and Margie have a track record of sitting at a meal with us and pouring love and encouragement into us. Margie is a retired public school teacher who knows how to spread cheer to all.
We love having the Perry's as our friend.
